A Mini Vacation

Do your kids like to go places and stay for awhile? Mine sure do and they are spending their annual WEEK LONG mini vacation at Grandma & Grandpa's. So who gets the mini vacation - we all do. It is totally awesome that G&G "ask" to have T & S for a whole week. The cool part of the mini vacation that they left Tues. and come back after the weekend is over. Now that is a cool mini vacation.

I usually come up with a BIG LONG LIST of things to do while they are gone, but that BIG LONG LIST does do not get condensed to much. But I am really trying this time, what did I do different? - here is my secret - don't make a big long list. I feel so much better, knowing that I can relax and get some projects done.

Sarah has a birthday party coming up next Saturday and you know how it is if you are mom- gotta clean this and that and make sure this and that -- when 99% of the time the kid (guests) don't even care(notice) that your house is clean. But there will be that one parent (who drops off their kid - to get them out of their hair for a few hours), will notice that big dustball on the tv. And you know who they are...

As usual I'll probably be cleaning the night before and getting all ticked off, because I'll have so much to do and so little time left.

So I am enjoying my mini vacation and hope everyone can get a mini vacation.

Enjoy Life!

A Change

I made a minor adjustment to my settings so you do not have to be registered to blog here. Hope that helps, but try not to be anonymous (chicken). I won't bite, but I might say something...

Quick Update

Hope all is well for everyone. So, you want to know why I started a blog, why does anyone want to blog? I just think it is cool to update everyone what is happening at our place. Plus, I just love reading my cousin's blog http://www.blackbeltmama.typepad.com - so she was my inspiration, feel good Jessica?

Some updates:

Tyler, now 7, going into 2nd grade, man o man where has the time gone? He is into Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Riding his bike, and is a Wolf Scout.

Sarah, soon to be 5 (Aug. 6th) going into kindergarten. DID I SAY ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN... Cannot tell that I am a little excited. The house will be very quiet this school year.

Darin, soon to be ... another year older. Still works in downtown Pittsburgh.

Patty, will be another year older too... Doing this and that and making sure that our children are happy.

Billy and Jack, our 2 cats, are relaxed now that extra company has left. My sister's two dogs were here for two weeks.

Star, our dog, just enjoys life...

So bookmark this site and check back often, leave a comment or two, and you might even find a picture or 2 posted once in awhile.

Enjoy Life!
